Have you ever struggled to describe Friends Church to someone? Why it, perhaps, seems different from religious experiences you’ve had? Over the years our approach and philosophy has shifted with our morphing spirituality – making it difficult at times, even for us, to fully articulate who or what we are.
About 7 years ago, with the help of a story by Malcolm Gladwell, I attempted to explain our perspective in a Sunday message. But since that time, we’ve learned more about the spiritual journey and the specific role that Friends Church seems to be playing in the lives of people within our community. So this Sunday I’m going to revisit that message and share an updated perspective that I think will help you understand Friends Church better and likely encourage you at the same time.
