Speaker: Vince Klassen

I was talking with a friend I haven’t seen in probably 10 years. And we were talking about why he stopped being a pastor and started building houses. And he said I read a line from a Christian leader, and it killed my faith. Whoa!

I’ve heard people talk about moments in university when their prof said something that rocked their faith to the core. I’ve heard people talk about major disasters, acts of God, failures of religious leaders, and suddenly what they believed didn’t feel the same. I’ve heard of all kinds of moments in people’s lives that left them struggling with their beliefs.

Sometimes they wanted to defend what they believed when it was in tension with the world. Sometimes they wanted to throw it out.

But a Bombproof faith? Not even close.

How do we live in a world with Bombproof faith? Not rigid faith. Not close-minded faith. But faith that can handle anything that life throws at it.

That is what we are going to talk about this week and for this entire series. This is one you might want to set your alarm for. Because after the work we do in this series you will be able to hold your head high – regardless of your faith, who you are talking to and regardless of what life throws at you.

See you at the gym.
