Most of us are familiar with the Easter story but there are many views of that story, one of which is called Christus Victor. And while it describes the details of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection it also simplifies down to the idea that the power in the Easter story is held in the resurrection – Easter Sunday.
The power of this idea comes when we live in the belief that when God brings Jesus back from the dead, it’s to beat evil. Christ wins, evil loses. And this wasn’t just a cosmic battle. This was God protecting….us. God beat evil to protect you and me.
You might not be here logically….but, how would it feel if you lived like you believed this? Could it bring you comfort? Security? A thin place?
This is what we are going to explore this week, along with some practical steps on how to get from the skepticism of 3rd stage spirituality to the mysticism of stage 4th. It should be fun!
