Starting Jan 29, we are going to talk about Easter. Now you might be thinking, its January and we can’t talk about Easter yet, and besides, what are you going to say for 8 weeks about a story that we know the ending to.

But that’s just the thing, sometimes the stories we are most familiar with, have the most potential to contain gold underneath the traditional reading. And as we’ve been studying this, when we look through the human lens of the characters in the story, this thing is growing and changing for us. It’s taking the Easter story from something that may have happened, to something that is happening in our lives today. From grief and Antisemitism, to Feminism and trying to control the world around us. There are people in these stories that are challenging my spirituality from every angle.

After this series you will know more about the Easter stories than you ever did before. You will be challenged to see how this stories has been colored by a particular bias over the last 2000 years and how it seems to have impacted our post-Christian society. And you will look at how your spirituality might impact the everyday moments of your life, of tragedy, and of loss.

We are really excited to be able to share this series with you. The research is already blowing my mind:)

Check out the post on the website to hear us talk a little more about the series.
