Interesting sermon. Thought inspiring. My only challenge was choice of adherence to public health policy, maskers vs antimaskers’, as representation example how one ‘reacts to chaos’.
I feel this specific case multi layered with larger issue of values. Indicative of folks that value welfare/ well being of society, ( maskers) – therefore, choose to sacrifice individual comfort/ freedom for sake of common good- including strangers. VERSUS smaller group of folks who value individual freedom as higher right, and insist rights of personal freedom to act independent of impact on other at risk members, ie) feeling their individuality trumps social good. Asserting their personal freedom solely paramount. Independent of consistency of scientists proven utility of mask to reduce spread.
I think emotion attached to values fuels strong reactions to this issue. Thoughts?

I definitely related to example of ways family members react differently in crisis, other examples.
I appreciated overall sermon conclusion, that awareness, and tolerance of individual differences and personal insight ( including how one defaults facing chaos) is so worthy to consider in honoring and maintaining relationships!
