How does the Bible help us connect with something More? For years the Bible has been used to hurt people. Support religious wars. It’s been used to hold women back. It’s been the foundation of so many hurtful things, does it even have a place in modern society?
And yet, at Friends Church, we use it all the time. Why?
This week we are going to show you our cards (hint: the answer isn’t because it’s ‘God’s words’). I would like to go much deeper than that. My hope is that after the discussion you will see exactly why we use it, and even better, that you will have a way of looking at the Bible that once explained, most anyone would support.
