Lev 19:19 – Based on the story of Joseph (his cloak of many colors compared to the attire he rec’vs from the Pharaoh).  He is playing on the theme of mixing fibers (other stuff) with being separate from others who don’t share your beliefs (eg. Israelite in Pharaoh’s court, how does he stay Israelite in another culture?)

BI: There will always be a level of separateness between one who believes (and who who doesn’t), the question becomes, should we push separateness? [This connects to our idea of taking water into your world, instead of hiding from your world]

But I assume what I was feeling was nothing compared to how Joseph felt when his brother’s stole his coat of many colors.

How often do we let our circumstances direct how we act?

And what does Leviticus and it’s verse “Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material” have to do with Joseph, fashion, and being confident in what we value?

This Sunday we are going to try to flesh it all out.  You won’t want to miss it!
