How often do we make financial decisions based on what we believe is good financial practice, only to end up miserable with that decision? Or someone will say to us “this is how you should spend your money!” Even when we do spend our money on something we love we feel like we have to hide how much we spent for fear of others judging us for making a bad decision?

Our spiritual ancestors, I think, are calling BS on this whole issue. In the Bible, they’ve told us you can’t serve money and something else – the something else will always be given less attention than it needs. But what if the something else is the very thing we need to focus our attention on, to spend money on? What do we do?

That’s the question we want to explore, where should we focus our attention, and spoiler alert, it’s not always what a financial planner might tell you. See you Sunday at the Spiritual Gym.
