Speaker: Jeff Jarvis

Have you ever noticed people’s overreactions to certain situations? Someone pokes a little fun at someone and that person gets really upset. Now everyone in the room is awkward and the hurt person feels embarrassed and alienated. A kid tips something over in a store and the parent starts screaming – leaving the kid feeling so ashamed and the parent feeling like an idiot. A person gets a small piece of negative feedback and it just hits him so hard. It’s all he can think about.

In what situations do you find yourself overreacting?

What are our overreactions about anyway? What causes them? Is it possible to free ourselves from their tyranny? I’ve got some good news about this and it’s part of a Spiritual Practice that I want to talk about on Sunday. Invite a friend and I’ll see you at the gym.

I’m so thankful my Aunt Phyllis sent me this podcast. I actually listened to the whole thing. It made a lot of sense. I’m always in a dark place and have been for years. I’ve tried everything except shock therapy. I will continue to listen and hopefully have this demon removed. Thank you
