Like many, I discovered at an early age how good it can feel – to be “right”. To win an argument. To be the one who is believed or trusted more than that other person. Being wrong, on the hand, has been a much less enjoyable experience. 🙂 I’ve surprised myself at what happens when I’m under the threat of being wrong. How defensive I can be, how sarcastic, the way I can deflect the blame, or avoid situations altogether. When was the last time you reacted poorly to being wrong? Why is it such a struggle?
What really is going on?There’s some fascinating learning around our need to be right and the role that our “Dark passenger” – our false self – the ego plays in that struggle. We’re talking about this on Sunday. Because awareness is everything when conquering this beast. See you at the gym.
