Moments of change are scary. And the closer they get, the more we feel it. We felt it when we moved from Friends Church 1.0 to 2.0. We feel it again now, as Friends Church 2.0 comes to a close and we step toward Friends Church 3.0.

Through every season of change, we’ve learned something powerful: while the world shifts around us, we are the steady thing. We are the grounded ones. And often, it’s in the moments that scare us most that we grow the most. I believe this is one of those moments.

Friends Church isn’t Jeff or me. Friends Church lives inside each of us.

It’s the drive to grow our unique spiritual journey. The courage to be challenged toward health. The echo of our spiritual ancestors urging us to go deeper within—and through that, connect to something More. Friends Church is the part of us inspired to Take Water to our worlds, to be a force for good in both the ordinary rhythms of life and the extraordinary moments we’re given.

That core has not changed. It will not change. But we will grow through it.

To remember that Friends Church lives inside each of us.
That it can grow stronger through change and challenge.
That it can weather the storms of life.
And continue to call us toward something More.
