Project Mexico March 22 - 29, 2026

For roughly 20 years, Friends Church in partnership with Amor Ministries has Taken Water to families in Tijuana, Mexico by working with them to build their own house. Through Project Mexico, we’ve built over 30 homes for families living in overcrowded and makeshift shelters without doors to lock. A safe home changes everything! It gives families the chance to build a future with dignity and purpose.

And it’s not just about the houses—we’ve also helped hundreds within our community realize they are Water Carriers, people who bring positive change to the world around them. Many parents will tell us that they could barely recognize their teen when they returned. A new sense of gratitude and a desire to give of themselves to others. As one of our alumni tattooed on his arm, "Taking Water" isn’t just an idea—it’s a way of life that works anywhere, not just in Mexico.

Taking Water to Mexico - Sunday Message

Project Mexico Sunday Message Update

A few weeks ago, a dedicated team from Friends Church—students, parents, and adults—embarked on a life-changing journey to Tijuana, Mexico. Together, they partnered with a resilient family wrestling with poverty to build something truly transformative: a home. For nearly 20 years, this annual project has been about more than just construction—it’s about hope, connection, the power of community...simply "Taking Water".

This Sunday, we invite you to join us as we tell the story of this year’s trip through team members who went and explain why it continues to impact not just the families in Mexico but also those of us here at Friends Church.
