Christmas Giving – Friends Church Style

This Christmas season, our Friends Church community came together Taking Water in a powerful way to support a family within our own church.

Separate from our Christmas Hamper Giveaway with Connections for Families, this project focused on a single mom and her three children who had faced an exceptionally difficult year. After losing her job due to employer misconduct, navigating a challenging divorce, and experiencing multiple hospitalizations, the financial and emotional weight became overwhelming—especially as Christmas approached.

Because of your generosity, this family was surrounded with care, dignity, and tangible support. Gifts, groceries, and gift cards helped ease immediate financial pressures and allowed the children to experience the joy and normalcy of Christmas—something their mom deeply hoped for but feared might not be possible this year.

This is who we are at Friends Church. When needs arise, we respond with compassion, generosity, and love—Taking Water to the World, starting right here in our own community.
