“We have all been in that place where someone says something, or does something, that just doesn’t fit with our view of Christianity. We don’t want to judge them…but it might be that they judge us, or say things that they think we believe, or don’t believe.
And suddenly we are in this moment where to speak up to the issue means the beginning of a fight, which sucks. But to keep silent is doesn’t feel right either. So what do we do? we are between a rock and a hard place. In chess that’s called putting someone in check, but is the game over? are we in checkmate? Are those the only two options? Or is there another way to get out of this that avoids the fight…and the silent agreement?
