Our earliest ancestors were scared little creatures. And rightly so, everything around them seemed to be trying to kill them. The animals, the weather. It was all life threatening. One writer described early us as walking Big Mac’s – food for everyone:)

Any wonder why we sometimes feel a general sense of anxiety in our lives? Could it be that our cave-person ancestors are still lurking around the the recesses of our modern brains? Still worried about who is trying to “eat” us?

So how did we go from scared little creatures to people who can build cities, split atoms, send people to the moon?

We seemed to do it by evolving a series of skills that helped us along the way. You might be surprised that those skills are profoundly tied to religion.

Used by those with hurtful intentions, these skills are so damaging. But when used and honed towards Taking Water to the world around us, something magical happens.

We want to explore this evolution, and the power it has for our world this Sunday as we explore the Story of US, the story of humanity as a whole.

See you at the Spiritual Gym. Invite a friend who might want to start exploring their place in this world.
