The eagle has landed! This morning our team boarded a plane and flew into Los Angeles. We then jumped into a couple of vans and drove across the border into Mexico. Presently, we're camping on the outskirts of Tijuana in a gated campground. Thankfully, the weather is looking really ideal this week with forecast highs between 19 and 25 C.
The team is a bit exhausted from a full day of travel but we're all excited to meet our family in the morning and begin the process of building a safe and permanent home that will serve them for years to come.
Tomorrow (Monday) will be the most grueling work day as we hand mix enough concrete to pour a slab the size of a double garage. It will be all hands on deck with every minute accounted for. With a limited amount of work days it's critical that the concrete gets finished tomorrow.
So after enjoying a little time around the campfire, everyone is heading to bed early. We know 6:30 am will come early and tomorrow is going to be a challenge. But we wouldn't want it any other way! Taking Water isn't always easy but it's so rewarding.
