Healthy lives require us to honor a certain rhythm that involves rest.

Lev 25 – A levitical law states that you can plant crops on a piece of land for 6 years but on the 7th year, you’re to let the land rest. I think this law speaks to an important rhythm that involves more than just agriculture. We are to be reminded about the importance of honoring the rhythm of our own lives.

For me, the topics that I dislike speaking on the most, are the ones I’m presently struggling to live out. That would be the case this week. 🙁 The truth is, for the last few years, I have not been at my best. I’ve found myself battling negative thoughts that question the meaning and significance of stuff I’m doing – not just at work but in other areas of my life. I’ve felt fatigued and frustrated more than I would like to admit. I have pointed to a lot of different things as the cause. But more recently, I’m becoming aware of what truly might be the culprit. Oddly, there’s a Levitical law that I think addresses the root of it. My guess is that there are others, besides me, who may be struggling with something similar. Though it’s fresh and raw for me…I’m excited about the solution. Let’s chat Sunday.
