Who I Recommend to Widen Your Story of the Bible

Here are a few people I recommend following if you want to widen your story of the Bible and explore different perspectives on Scripture, history, and faith:

• Dan McLellen — Biblical scholar and public educator

• Bart Erham — New Testament scholar and historian

• Monte Mader — Biblical scholar and educator

Each of these people brings a wealth of knowledge and scholarship to the conversation. But it’s important to remember that their work is their own. They each have their own perspectives, conclusions, and areas of expertise.

And, of course, no individual is without fault—including these scholars. The goal isn't to simply accept everything someone says, but to listen, learn, ask questions, and allow your understanding of the Bible to grow.

That’s part of what it means to widen your story of the Bible.
