I’ve never run across someone who didn’t want to live true to themselves. We all want to live authentic lives. The sad news, though, is everyday, whether we’re conscious of it or not, we engage in behavior that can betray ourselves. Every time we attempt to hide a personal failure or imperfection from others. Every time we pretend to feel or think a certain way or deny that we feel or think a certain way. Sometimes the many ways we do this are so subconscious, we don’t even see it. When we do though, it causes anxiety, stress, resentment and/or unhappiness.

Did you know that personal self-care can involve raising your awareness of how and where this may be happening in you and changing your patterns? The benefits of this practice are enormous.
