Project Mexico 2025

For nearly 20 years, Friends Church, in partnership with Amor Ministries, has been "Taking Water" to families in Tijuana, Mexico by working alongside them to build safe, lasting homes. Through Project Mexico, we’ve helped construct over 30 houses for families living in overcrowded, insecure shelters—giving them a place where they can live with dignity, security, and hope for the future.

But Project Mexico is about more than building homes. It's about building people. Over the years, hundreds from our community have discovered what it means to be Water Carriers—individuals who bring positive change wherever they go. Parents often tell us their teens return home transformed, with a deeper sense of gratitude and a passion to serve others. As one of our alumni put it, “Taking Water” isn’t just a mission—it’s a way of life.

Just a few weeks ago, a dedicated team of students, parents, and adults from Friends Church once again traveled to Tijuana to partner with a resilient family and build something truly life-changing: a home. Through hard work, connection, and faith, we witnessed firsthand how hope can take root and flourish.
