I was with a friend recently and they asked me, in the context of this series on stories, what’s up with the story of Samson in the Bible? Wasn’t he just a musclebound bully who terrorized the people around him because he was petty and mean? Why is that part of our tradition?
Good question!
This week we are going to explore the first part of the answer. The Samson story starts with the story of his mother. A woman who I think had lost all hope and was from a family of cowards, and she was asked to step up.
Her answer is an inspiration.
