Recently, one of the younger members of our Friends Church community faced a serious medical emergency. After a successful surgery, they were placed on doctor’s orders not to drive for three weeks—a restriction that made even the simplest parts of daily life here in Calgary challenging.

That’s where you stepped in.

Over the past few weeks, members of our community have offered rides, run errands, and provided practical support in countless thoughtful ways. What could have been a lonely and difficult recovery instead became a powerful reminder of what it means to be surrounded by people who care.

Because of you, the road to recovery was not walked alone. Each act of kindness—whether big or small—brought hope, dignity, and comfort.

This is the heart of Friends Church. This is what it means to Take Water.

Thank you for showing up with love. Thank you for being the kind of community that sees a need and answers it. And thank you for reminding us all that the world truly becomes a better place when we serve one another.
