Many of us have this desire for God to help us, especially when it feels like our world is going off the rails. Often our belief that God will be with us in those moments, perhaps even metaphorically reach down and intervene in our lives, is our only comfort. Our “communication” and I air quote that word because that presupposes a very particular model of God, or the divine, or whatever you want to call it, is often called prayer.
This week we are going to take a deep, honest look at prayer and ask ourselves, does this create a Thin Place between us and the diving? Should be fun. (Bring a pillow to kneel on if you like to pray kneeling down)
