Flow of Hope: Standing With Tumbler Ridge Families

On February 10th, 2026, the close-knit community of Tumbler Ridge was shaken by a heartbreaking tragedy. In moments like these, words feel small. Families were left navigating grief, shock, and sudden practical needs—often all at once.

In the days that followed, the needs became clear. Daily expenses didn’t pause. Homes still needed warmth. Families needed space to grieve, support to carry the weight, and reassurance that they were not facing this season alone.

Moments like this remind us why Taking Water isn’t just something we say—it’s how we live. When our neighbours were hurting, we showed up. As a church family, we moved toward the pain with compassion, generosity, and presence.

That’s why Friends Church supported Flow of Hope: Tumbler Ridge Family Relief Fund, a community-led initiative in partnership with the Tumbler Ridge Parent Advisory Council and local organizations. Through this Water Project, donations were collected and forwarded directly to the official GoFundMe to provide immediate, practical support to families impacted.
