This just in from Rio Azul Guatemala (a small village we have partnered with and Taken Water to over the last 8 years)

Vincente and Feliciana own a 21m x 21m plot of land at the edge of town and have been growing corn for some time. A few years ago they considered selling their land as prices were going up and it seemed a smart move. When they learned FH [our partner in Guatemala] was providing agricultural training they decided to keep farming and attend those trainings. One of the biggest lessons they took away was around crop rotation. The greatest outcome for Vincente and Feliciana from the training has been from the FH agricultural facilitators visiting their site to help them with practical and hands on advice around soil care and disease prevention. Their new knowledge has allowed them to expand their crops. They are now growing potatoes and Vincente is dreaming about diversifying to fruit and onions as well. They no longer consider themselves corn farmers but contributing farmers!!

They are on the road to healthier food for them and their child!  Still almost unheard of in Guatemala where the farmers grow corn and beans almost exclusively.  This is the impact you all have had.  This is the results of your Water!
