Our spiritual ancestors have this word that they use to describe the process of people coming back home — Aliyah. After generations of people being forced away from home, they realized that coming back home was a little more tricky than just coming home.
There is a lot to learn from their experience when we think of “coming home” to our remembered way of life after the pandemic. How does one “come home” after what we have all experienced? Is it even possible? We are different. The world is different. Things happened during the pandemic that will stay with us for a very long time.
