“Everyone dies, but not everyone truly lives” ~ William Wallace

Over the years I’ve had a conflicted relationship with pleasure. Don’t get me wrong, I love to experience it as much as the next person. Sometimes though, I’ve struggled to prioritize it. Too much to do, and perhaps a little guilt about spending the time or money on “frivolous” things when it could be used more practically. Sometimes I wasn’t sure if, spiritually, it was the right thing to pursue. Not surprisingly, life has often grown dull…lifeless.

How would you describe your relationship with pleasure and vitality? Would you say you have enough of it in your life?

Many I’ve spoken with are in the same boat. No one has said that they prioritize their personal vitality and pleasure enough. Which is kind of tragic, isn’t it?

We think it may be time for many of us to reexamine the thinking and practices that are limiting our vitality. To be reminded that all of us are going to die, but not all of us are truly going to live?
