The Maui Fires of the last week have been devastating! Over one hundred dead, many more still unaccounted for, and the property destruction is almost beyond imagination. It’s a tragic time in our lives. And it’s only one of many “acts of god” that we hear about in the news or have touched our lives.
What does our spirituality have to say about dealing with these “act of god” moments? Be it wildfires or hurricanes? Be it illness or accident? Be it “bad luck” or “being cursed”?
How do we deal with these through a spiritual lens? And how do we respond when these moments touch the world around us?
There is a lot to look at here. But the answers can bring profound religious freedom if we are willing to explore them. And, there is a pathway to a stage of spirituality that many of us are longing to experience again.
