The title comes from a famous movie line that speaks to the final stage of spiritual development – stage 4. It comes from the movie the Matrix through a dialogue between “spoon boy” and Neo on how to bend a spoon with one’s mind (go ahead, try it:)

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That’s impossible. Instead… only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you’ll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

In the final stage of spiritual development we start to see, not that we can bend spoons with our minds (for that is impossible) but that we can conceive of something beyond the physical.

mountaintop moments of transcendence
experiences that can’t be explained by science
a feeling like we are all connected beyond the physical
a sense of ourselves and our egos falling away into a unified consciousness
the divine in and around us
We start to have the ability to “see” More. And this More is what we want to explore this week as we look at the final stage. The More that unites us, that often gives our lives meaning and purpose. The More that isn’t locked down like stage 2 guardrails, but is open to a larger experience of life, that connects us all. Whatever you think the More is, it’s more than that (grin).

Welcome to stage 4.
