We were out the other day and I realized, I was at my limit. Too much has been going on in life these days: COVID, relationship stuff, work, you name it. And I was at my limit. Someone I love said something just a little bit provoking and I lost control on them. Said things that hurt and wounded.

Why do we do that?

Or, more importantly, how do we stop doing that?

How do we stop snapping at our kids, losing it on strangers, saying things that hurt, saying things with a tone that irritates? How do we stop that?

This week, we are going to revisit a way to calm ourselves down that finds its roots in the oldest part of the Christian tradition, and the most recent research into how our nervous systems work.
