In a group as Heterogeneous as we are its hard to know who is sitting next to you.  So we wanted to introduce the people all around you.  People who are on their own, unique spiritual journey.  People who are seeking something More.  People who might be very similar to you, or very different.  This is Friends Church.

Christena’s story

Raised as a catholic, the stage for my faith was set early on. While my connection to God is strong, I know my faith is not defined by the structural confines or rigidness that is often found in organized religion. For me, it is important to worship in a place that is exempt of judgement, values inclusiveness and allows for differences that make each of us unique and human. My values are aligned with the values of this community and when speaking with others about Friends Church I tell them the message is simple—“ Go out, be the best person you can be and try to do a little something to make our world a better place”.

I personally have been divinely guided to Angels for Mexico, it is where my heart and my work resides. Making a difference to families in Mexico is the way in which I can “take water” to my world and something Friends Church encourages me to do! Friends Church has their own Mexico project and yet they were compelled to support mine—in so doing, I am humbled by their support of me! Our Sunday services begin with warm greetings, coffee and tea and music that gives time to connect to a message that will be delivered with candor, emotion and humour.

Friends Church reaffirms the way I live my life!
