Speaker: Jeff Jarvis & David Hill

Last week, we talked about the vitality of evolving spirituality but it should be noted that spiritual change rarely comes without a cost. Often when we undergo spiritual updates, it can feel somewhat destabilizing. Fear, anxiety, and even a sense of loss are common emotions. For many, relational conflict is a cost as loved ones learn of one’s spiritual evolution. Not everyone will understand or celebrate one’s growth. Which, sadly, is why many refuse to update.

However, if you’re willing to accept the cost, the resulting spirituality can be so worth it!

This week I’m going to interview a person from our community who went through considerable spiritual change brought on by a life event in his family. We’ll hear about the difficult early days and the disruption the updates caused. But we’ll also hear about the rich learning and the wonderful outcomes he and his family have experienced since.

Are you in the middle of some spiritual change/growth that’s been hard? Are you contemplating some needed updates? Invite a friend and join us this Sunday in the “Gym” for part two of this two-part series on Spiritual Updates.
